It is not easy as upgrade iPhone 4 for me. CPU utilization was heading to 100% while it was upgrading and in backup stage. I left it for whole night and found it was still running in next morning.
I search the web and tried different methods. It was still not working. Some people suggested to reset iPad to manufacture and upgrade it to iOS 5, and then restore it with the backup. I took this way finally. The upgrade was smooth and quick. But the last and only backup I have is after the reset. So, I have to reinstall all the apps.
